Isotonik Studios has introduced a new Max for Live device which generates clap sounds with two synthesis engines and a full set of real-time controls. CLÄPP II delivers human feel, machine precision, and anything in between.
Finding the right clap is more frustrating than it should be. Static samples don’t breathe, don’t respond to your performance, and rarely sit perfectly in a mix without significant processing. CLÄPP II solves this at the source — a MaxforLive instrument that generates clap sounds from scratch, putting full control over every dimension of the sound directly in your hands.
Built by Beardyman (Darren Foreman), CLÄPP II combines two distinct synthesis engines — a modelled human clap generator and a classic drum machine clap engine — into a single, performance-ready device. Whether you want the organic spread of a real crowd or the punchy snap of a Roland-style machine, CLÄPP II gets you there without touching a sample library.
CLÄPP II features controls for tone and timing, variation, crowd size, stereo spread and low pass filter.
The device is available for Ableton Live 11 or higher (Suite or Standard with Max for Live), and a purchase includes 360 royalty-free clap samples generated with CLÄPP II, as well as specialized racks (CLÄPP RAKK, CLÄPP FX and BÜSS).
