Clarum Audio has introduced an effect plugin designed to automatically remove mic bleed on multi-mic recordings. AntiBleed is geared towards dialogue editors working with podcasts, interviews, panels, and film dialogue — situations where multiple microphones pick up overlapping signal from different speakers.
Each microphone only passes its own speaker. Inactive mics close automatically and smoothly. Clean, professional dialogue — as if every speaker had their own isolated booth.
AntiBleed features
- Bleed Rejection: Goes beyond standard automixing. Compares channel levels and aggressively attenuates mics only picking up bleed.
- Intelligent gain-sharing: Industry-proven algorithm distributes gain proportionally across all active microphones for natural transitions.
- Up to 16 channels: From a two-person interview to a full panel discussion. Each instance communicates in real time.
- Zero latency: No look-ahead buffer, no delay. Safe for live monitoring and real-time broadcast workflows.
- Per-channel Weight: Compensate for different voice levels. Boost quieter speakers without affecting the overall balance.
- Adjustable Noise Floor: Set the threshold for channel silence. Keeps ambient noise from opening inactive mics.
Priced $69 USD, the plugin is available in VST3 and AU plugin formats, currently macOS only (Windows support is coming). A free 14-day fully functional trial is available to download.
