Pencil Research has introduced a new performance-focused iOS/macOS app that turns your device into a full multitouch MIDI control surface. Plug in a synth via USB, and Condukt auto-maps every parameter by name.
The app allows you to drag controls onto a control surface and play, modulate, sequence, store/recall scenes and even morph between states, all with up to 10 fingers at a time.
No manuals, no CC numbers, no configuration. It works with hundreds of synths, drum machines, and effects listed at midi.guide, an open-source database we’ve been building and maintaining since 2019. When you plug in a device, Condukt recognizes it and gives you control in seconds.
Condukt features XY pads, interactive LFOs, 4 generative sequencers (including a Turing Machine and a Cartesian sequencer), scene recall with crossfader morphing, and themeable boards.
