Consistent Interruption has released an update to its audio plugin that is designed to texturize, accentuate and add warmth and age to your sounds.
Version 1.1.0 of Tumult allows users to import their own samples. The update also includes 50 noises from the Noise Plethora sample pack, alongside some minor improvements and bug fixes.
The effect plugin plays one of 100 noises, or the samples you have imported, and add them to the actual audio signal using the ‘Mix’ knob. The ‘Gain’ knob controls the volume, and the equalizer controls the frequency response of the noise – the actual audio signal is not affected.
In ‘Raw’ mode, the noise is played back without any influence. In ‘Duck’ mode, the noise is ducked away by the actual audio signal. In ‘Folllow’ mode, the noise only plays when the actual audio signal is playing (depending on the threshold).
The free and open source plugin is available to download in VST3 formats for Windows and Linux. You can also compile a binary from the source code.
