Convex Audio has announced the release of an “acoustic space simulation” effect plugin that lets you create the room.
Designed from the bottom up to deliver a realistic sound experience with minimal effort but maximum customizability, Atrium provides a holistic solution to reverberation, stereo positioning and stereo width, as well as depth perception.
Set your room’s width, length, and height independently to any values from 1 to 100 meters, and Atrium’s advanced acoustic simulation engine instantly brings it to life. This allows you to not only create small studios or large halls, but also tunnels, towers, or anything else that you can imagine. All of this by simply dragging the room to your desired size.
Furthermore, after you have created your custom room, you also have full control over the positions of the instruments and the listener inside that room. This enables you to easily and intuitively create and control the stereo location as well as the depth impression of your various sounds. You may even adjust the distance between the listener’s ears to create a wider or narrower stereo field.
Atrium features
- Control over advanced room attributes.
- Cross-instance synchronization to place your instruments, voices or other sound sources into the same room with ease.
- 3 parametric filters to shape your sound further.
- Reverb modulation.
- Multi-level preset manager including many great-sounding presets for an easy start.
- Resizable GUI.
- Randomization button for instant inspiration and experimentation.
Available as a VST3 plugin for Windows, Atrium is priced €99 EUR. A demo version is available to try the plugin.
