Sonic Charge has announced the release of a free add-on to its Synplant 2 software synthesizer.
PhenoType allows users to create synth patches by describing them in words.
Enter a sound, an instrument, or a texture, and Synplant will attempt to create a matching patch. Use the result as it is or as a starting point for further evolution.
PhenoType runs entirely locally as a script inside Synplant 2. No cloud processing and no internet connection required.
The script is free to download for Synplant 2 users.
