CRQL has recently released a new cepstrum-based audio plugin which separates formant and harmonic content.
After audio is processed through the cepstrum, it gets separated into its formant and harmonic cepstra. These can then get transformed back into their frequency-domain components, essentially giving us control over the shape of the “de-convolved”, polyphonic formants. We then shift, re-convolve the signals, and then process back into the time domain. How fun!
CRUMPETS is available for Windows, Mac and Linux in VST3, AU and CLAP plugin formats. It is priced £13 GBP (~$17 USD).
