D16 Group has announced the release of Toraverb 2, an upgraded version of the Space Modulated Reverb effect plugin for Windows and Mac.

Version 2 of Toraverb comes with several new features improving user experience and providing more control over the effect, including two parametric EQs, realistic crosstalk, early/late mixer, and a built-in ducker.

When creating Toraverb, we did not base it on any current reverb unit available in the market. We did not implement any “off-the-shelf” algorithm. Toraverb is not a classic type reverb unit like spring, room, hall or plate. Toraverb is a concept algorithm reverb. Using a set of easily accessible parameters, it allows the user to create practically ANY type of reverb. Our goal was to create a reverb which would sound pleasant to the listener and the output could be tweaked in many ways by the user.

Reverb is a critical effect in a mix. Result depends on the reverb algorithm used and the quality of the implementation. Usually reverb is used as a send effect in which many channels in a mix are routed to it. If a low-quality plug-in or hardware unit is used, the end results can sound very disappointing with the reverb tail sounding like it had been “ripped-off” in the mix.

Changes in Toraverb 2

  • Pre-delay with optional host tempo synchronization.
  • Modulation of diffusion network independently controlled for Early and Late reflections.
  • Controllable Crosstalk in Early reflections’ network.
  • 3 different EQ curves for Early and Late reflections’ parametric equalizers.
  • Early and Late reflections’ mixer with controllable stereo balance (in L/R or M/S domains).
  • Wet signal ducker controlled with Dry signal.
  • Adjustable FX crossfade characteristics.
  • Tag based preset browser.
  • Two alternative GUI sizes.
  • MIDI-learn functionality throughout.

Toraverb 2 (VST/AU/AAX) is available for the intro price of 49 EUR until November 3rd, 2017. Regular price is 69 EUR. The plugin is also included in the Total Bundle and SilverLine Collection.

Previous D16 Group customers and owners of the original Toraverb will receive a special offer via email.
