Oblivion Sound Lab has announced the release of a vintage horror soundset for the Diva virtual analog synthesizer by u-he.

Dark Vision is a homage to the horror film scores of the late 1970s and early 1980s, when pioneering composers armed with analog synthesizers reinvented the soundtrack of cinema.

The pack includes 128 patches inspired by legendary composers such as John Carpenter, Alan Howarth, Fabio Frizzi, John Harrison, Claudio Simonetti, Charles Bernstein and Jay Chattaway as well as the contemporary musicians who continue their sonic legacy.

Inside you will discover ominous basses, dusty keys, piercing leads, dark pads and drones, spooky bells, spine-chilling strings, sinister sweeps, experimental sound effects and more. Most of the patches have parameters mapped to modwheel and aftertouch.

Dark Vision will appeal to musicians influenced by the iconic tones of horror cinema, whether you compose music for film or produce in a genre such as Synthwave, Horror Disco or Dark Ambient.
