Darkpalace Studio has recently updated its comprehensive collection of audio plugins based on the concept of allpass filters. Version 1.4.0 of Chameleon allows creative phasing with a new dedicated delay for the wet signal.
We love experimenting with phase, and it turns out we’re not the only ones! After seeing people manually delaying parallel signals to find the perfect timbre, we decided to make it official. All CHAMELEON instances now feature a dedicated delay up to 50ms applied to the wet signal, giving you full control over creative phasing.
If the 50ms isn’t enough for you, you can easily change it by editing the config file!
Changes in Chameleon v1.4.0
- Wet Signal Delay up to 50ms: add to all Chameleon versions, fully customizable through json.
- Factory Presets: add huge batch of new presets.
- Drag & Drop: all Chameleon plug-ins support Drag & Drop for themes and presets.
- Phase Curve: flip to display actual audio behavior.
- Menu Upgrade: add “Open Folder” and prevented auto-scrolling when loading assets.
- Text Rendering: more text rendering via FreeType.
- Themes: full rework for better user experience + new Sakura Seasonal Theme.
- Shaders: rework the shaders, including the display.
- Audio Code: various optimizations in UI and audio code for better efficiency.
- Bug Fixes: general stability improvements and library updates.
Chameleon for Windows, macOS and Linux (VST3, AU, LV2 and CLAP) is priced €20 EUR. The update is free for existing users.
