Darkpalace Studio has announced an update to its multi-band waveshaper effect plugin for Windows, macOS and Linux. Version 1.1.0 of Piranha comes with 28 new waveshapers in new categories, bringing more sound design options to the plugin.
New waveshapers are éverywhere inside PIRANHA v.1.1.0. Try out new shapers like Quadratic Sinefold, Plateau Large, Smootherstep, Chebyshv and more. You’ll find them in new categories like clipback, sinefold and harmonic, but you’ll also see them added to existing categories. The best news: there’s 28 new waveshapers total!
The update also fixes and issue where the preset name was gone after closing and re-opening Piranha, and additional factory presets demonstrate the new waveshapers. Furthermore, a potential crash on old graphics cards has been fixed, rendering speed has improved, and some bug fixes on Linux have been fixed.
A free update for existing users, Piranha is priced €45 EUR. It comes in VST3, AU, CLAP and LV2 plugin formats.
