Decomposer has announced an update to its drum sampler instrument featuring 16 pads, automatic beat slicing, and a surprising amount of depth in its 6 controls for tweaking sounds. Version 2.1 of Sitala brings various user-requested improvements.
Our users have asked, and we’ve listened. Sitala is really popular with Reaper users because it’s deep integration with that DAW, and who doesn’t hate opening up an old project just to find their samples have been reorganized, deleted, moved to another drive, or similar. This new version of Sitala collects all of the samples used in a Reaper projects, and saves them along with a special Sitala kit for each track containing all of the samples used in the project.
Another “your users will tell you what they care about”-win is tuning drum pitches to actual pitches. For pitched samples like toms or kicks, Sitala now snaps to note frequencies when fiddling with the tuning knob.
Using Sitala live? Lots of people are. And now you can switch your Sitala kit based on a MIDI program change or control change signal.
