Deskew Technologies has announced the release of an update to its live-performance audio plugin host which combines a setlist manager, audio mixer, backing tracks player, sound design tool and MIDI patch bay.
Version 5.1 of Gig Performer introduces MIDI AutoPlay mode, improved handling of VST3 program change messages, workflow improvements and performance optimizations, making Gig Performer an even more powerful backbone for a musician’s live rig.
The introduction of Gig Performer 5.1 brings improved handling of VST3 program change messages, while the new Auto-Play mode for the MIDI File Player introduces yet another automation capability to its extensive list. It enables musicians to chain multiple MIDI songs and automatically play them sequentially, allowing the audience to experience seamless song transitions.
GP User presets can now be quickly loaded or saved from a widget menu, saving users time in building their live setup and making it easier to save and recall the sounds they have already built.
When opening a gig file, musicians will now see more progress information displayed during loading. Users will see what’s being opened, making it easier to cancel the loading of an incorrect gig again and saving valuable set-up time.
