Devious Machines has announced an update to its audio plugin for sidechaining and creative volume shaping. Version 2.0.30 of Duck 2 comes with some fixes for the update released earlier this week.
There was a problem with yesterday’s Duck 2.0.29 update which caused it to fail AU validation on Mac, and potentially crash in some hosts when a mono track is used with a stereo sidechain input. Sorry about that!
This has now been fixed, so we recommend updating immediately to the new Duck 2.0.30 update via the Software Manager, or by downloading the latest installer.
Version 2.0.29 added the following new features and stability fixes:
- MIDI trigger can be filtered by MIDI channel.
- Audio trigger hold time now goes down to zero milliseconds.
- You can now disable the waveform scope fadeout effect in settings.
- Settings dialogue now has tooltips.
- Fixed display issue with settings dialogue labels.
- Fixed crash when adjusting MIDI note filter range.
- Fixed bug with sidechain scope timing when using linear phase mode.
- Fixed a lock up on Windows when multiple plugin windows were opening.
- Windows 10 Anniversary Edition is now the minimum system requirement.
- Fixed MIDI note on sometimes not triggering when occurring at the same time as a note off.
A free update for Duck 2 users, new customers can purchase the plugin for £29.99 GBP / $39.99 USD at Plugin Boutique and from the Devious Machines store. Owners of the original Duck can upgrade to version 2 for $15.99 USD.
