Dr. Zoppa has announced an update to the his series of generative MIDI plugins that turn a sustained note into 4 voices of counterpoint.
Previously macOS only, all three plugins now run on Windows, as 64-bit VST3.
Furthermore, version 1.5.1 of AMI-POLYMARKOV now learns from what you play: press REC, run the transport and play, and two Markov chains learn your pitch and your rhythm separately, each with its own memory, while the dynamics travel with the melody. Give rhythm a long memory and melody a short one, and it answers in your own phrasing with a melody you never played.
A free update for existing users, new customers can purchase the plugins for $29 USD each or in a bundle of all three for $69 USD until October 30th, 2026 (regular $39 USD each, $99 USD for the bundle). Free 30-day trial versions are available to try the plugins.
