Dropshot Audio has announced an update to its 12-voice hybrid drum synthesizer that combines high-fidelity antialiased synthesis, lo-fi sampling, and snappy envelopes into a powerhouse for modern production.
Version 1.1.0 of Smackbox V2 comes with multi-output support, an expanded preset library, and some more improvements.

- Multi-output support: Full 12 stereo outputs for routing each pad to separate mixer channels.
- Preset folder organization: Factory presets now organized into categories for easier browsing.
- Expanded preset library: 33 factory presets included, featuring community contributions from sinkmusic.
- Linux compatibility: Fixed compatibility issues with Debian 12 and similar distributions.
- Improved preset management: Create folders directly when saving presets using “/” in the name.
Available for Windows, Mac and Linux (VST3, AU, CLAP, and standalone), Smackbox V2 is on sale for €39 EUR for a limited time (regular €79 EUR).
