Dystant Sounds has introduced a browser-based kick drum designer which allows users to build, shape, preview, and export custom kicks.
Paired with a 4,000 file WAV library, KX1000 Kick Architect builds custom kicks from transient, body, and sub layers directly in the browser.
The idea is simple: stop searching endlessly through one-shot folders, build the kick from the parts that actually matter, then export or use the sounds inside your own workflow.
KX1000 comes with various controls to shape the kick to your liking, including quick modes and variations. You can lock, solo, select or randomize specific layers, or generate a completely new kick with the randomize button.
The engine is free to try, with a paid option ($59 USD) letting you download WAV files, use the full KX1000 library, build kicks in the browser, and use exported sounds in your DAW, sampler, or drum machine.
