Synapse Audio has announced an update to its electronic kickdrum synthesizer instrument.

Version 2.2 of EKS Pro adds native support for Apple M1 machines and OS X Monterey. It also features a revamped high-resolution skin and two new kick models have been added.

Similar to other Synapse Audio plugins, it is now possible to toggle between three different skin sizes (Default/Large/Huge) by right-clicking on the interface.

The plugin offers eight high-quality sound models, a mix of vintage hardware emulations, and new, modern kick drum sound models, designed for your next club hit. Despite their fundamentally different nature, all models respond to the sound parameters in largely the same way. The user interface is organized into four sections controlling the pitch, the amplitude and pitch envelopes and its curvature, the attack stage and finally pitch modulation. This layout makes it simple and straightforward to program your own patches or modify existing ones.

EKS Pro is available for Windows and Mac in VST and AU plugin formats, priced $39 USD. The update is free for existing users of the synth.
