MoMinstruments / Elastic Instruments has announced a major update to its standalone app and AUv3 plugin featuring three channels of synthetic sounds, an analog-style step sequencer and four master effects.
Version 1.2 of Elastic Melody comes with expanded sound engines and various other improvements.
Until now, Elastic Melody has focused mainly on creating melodies easily. With the expanded sound engines in Update 1.2, you can now create punchy rhythms and heavy basslines too.
Elastic Melody has become a rhythm monster — check out the heavy techno presets by Another Machines. And it has become a bass monster — hello Acid, hello Daft Punk! Use the new random pitch and note-position shifting, to create evolving patterns that never repeat.
While Dave Smith’s Evolver inspired the original version of Elastic Melody, Moog’s DFAM helped shape Update 1.2. Its ability to create an entire universe of sound with just two oscillators, noise and a sequencer influenced the update’s new possibilities.
Available for iOS and macOS, the update is free for existing users of Elastic Melody. New customers can purchase the app for $14.99 USD at the App Store.
