Elektron has introduced a new OS update for its 4-voice analog synthesizer. Version 1.55 comes with fun features such as Euclidean Sequencer Mode, Control All, Loop Pages, Rotate Arp Sequence, Save Trig to Sound, and more.
The update is available for both versions of Analog Four – MKII and MKI, as well as Analog Keys.
New in the update
- Euclidean Sequencer: Analog Four and Analog Keys have joined the Euclidean age. This additional sequencer mode can bring a new sense of motion to your patterns, courtesy of two Euclidean generators that algorithmically distribute trig-like pulses across a sequence. Add, subtract, and control these pulses and how they populate your sequence. Combine both generators to create patterns that – subtly or dramatically – shift, interlock, and evolve at the twist of a knob. An endlessly adaptable tool for rhythmic exploration.
- Page Loop: Page Loop lets you instantly jump to the sequencer page you want to work in, as well as looping it with ease alongside any other specific pages you want to focus on. Hang in one place and replay, or tweak until the sound is just right, until you’re ready to de-loop.
- Control All: Access full, simultaneous control over parameters across all tracks by holding track and twisting away on your parameter of choice. Go off in whatever wild sonic direction that surfaces, safe in the knowledge that you can always reload and return to your saved state.
- Rotate Arpeggiator Sequence: Analog Four’s arpeggiator can now move in fresh ways. Rotate your offsets to ensure your arp sequence isn’t set in stone, and find new melodic pathways.
- And more: There are a handful more features, with Save Trig to Sound a welcome little addition, as well as a number of helpful improvements and fixes.
