Swedish musical instrument company Elektron has introduced new OS for its polyphonic multisampler and audio processor. Version 1.3.0 introduces Wavefinder, a dual-oscillator wavetable machine that greatly expands Tonverk‘s sonic possibilities, alongside many more features and improvements.
Wavefinder gives you two independent wavetable oscillators that can be modulated and blended. Dive in and shape your tone by picking your wavetables and using position to find the perfect wave, and level to find the perfect mix. Set tune and detune, and then modulate your position and level by choosing one of the 12 wavetable animations, with further modulation controls available.
All of this works together to unlock deeper layers of movement and expression, further increased by the ability to add your own wavetables. This extra slice of synthesis broadens Tonverk’s sound palette, both on its own and alongside the other sample Machines already at your disposal.
The update also includes:
- Subtrack choking, letting you assign Subtracks so that as soon as they are triggered they immediately silence other Subtracks.
- Various Arp power-ups including the ability to parameter lock arp settings and being able to randomize the arp page.
- Page Looping.
- Prepare Mutes.
- Sustain and Sostenuto pedal support.
- Remember Subpage and Subtrack.
- … and more.
Tonverk 1.3.0 is now available to download. Note that you will need to add wavetables to your SD card to use Wavefinder. A batch of 75 tasty and varied wavetables created by Elektron staff and friends is included in the OS package.
