Daniel Gergely has released an update to the Emergence real-time granulator plugin, which was released as part of the 2021 KVR Developer Challenge.

Emergence continuously records the input signal into a buffer, and plays the content back in as many as up to 600 grains which can be generated in 4 streams, each having its own set of parameters that control grain generation.

Version 0.2.0 adds AU support for macOS, and VST3 now supports host-provided context menus for parameter controls. LFOs and macro knobs have been added and modulation parameter randomization has been improved.

Furtermore, the waveform/grain visualization now fades out while not processing audio.

Emergence is free to download in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and Mac at KVR Audio.
