Flux:: Sound & Picture Development has announced the release of a new plugin that offers control over “Phase & Drive”.

EVO In features unique precise arbitrary and linear phase rotation, phase group to enable and disable phase for all of the included tracks at the same time, electrical polarity inverter, and soft saturation to attain roundness and warmth, restoring and maintaining the vitality of the sound.

Flux Evo In

EVO IN – The second plug-in in the Yves Jaget designed EVO series, provides two of the most important factors for taking control of the input signal, both for studio and live sound, Phase and Drive.

Phase – A Unique, Precise, Arbitrary and Linear Phase Rotation of the signal, to accomplish the very same phenomena as when physically moving the microphone, without adding any latency.

Drive – A soft saturation to attain roundness and warmth, restoring and maintaining the vitality of the sound, by generating harmonics important for the constancy of the sound without any audible distortion, on all types of sounds and instruments.

EVO IN features

  • Phase — In addition to the classic electrical polarity inverter ( ∅ ), EVO IN provides a Unique, Precise, Arbitrary and Linear Phase Rotation of the signal, to accomplish the very same phenomena as when physically moving the microphone, eliminating timing problems that could be smearing the clarity of the sound or the mix. This unique Phase algorithm is the result of Flux:: proprietary research and allows for linear phase correction, without adding any latency, by activating the Phase on all of the tracks that were recorded at the same time in the same room, like a drum kit or a guitar amplifier, and adjusting the Phase on each track until everything is in Phase and sounds tight and aligned.
  • Drive — The EVO IN Drive adds a soft saturation to attain roundness and warmth, restoring and maintaining the vitality of the sound, by generating harmonics important for the constancy of the sound without any audible distortion, on all types of sounds and instruments.
  • Dark Mode for Live and Theater — The visual display mode of the graphical user interface in EVO IN can be set to a Dark or a Light mode. The Dark mode is created to provide an option for situations like Live and Theater performances where discretion can be of real importance.
  • Multichannel, Dolby Atmos and Ambisonics Support — Dolby Atmos, with up to 10 channels and the AVID Pro Tools Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 / 7.0.2 Track and Bus, is supported. Third order Ambisonics, with up to 16 channels and the AVID Pro Tools bus and track formats for first, second and third order Ambisonics, for creating and manipulating Ambisonic audio and mixes, is supported.

EVO IN for Mac and Windows is available in AU, VST, AAX Native, DSP and AudioSuite as well as Waves WPAPI plugin formats, priced at 59 EUR / $69 USD.
