ForgeDSP has introduced a kick drum plugin for Windows. Unlike the synthesis-based kick tools it sits next to, Kick Alchemist layers samples the producer already owns.
The plugin features three slots (BASE for sub, CORE for body, SPARK for the click), per-layer tuning to the track key, per-layer phase alignment, per-layer frequency carving, and a COOK render that bounces the whole stack to a single drag-and-drop one-shot.
A TRANSMUTE option re-rolls layer combinations into a new starting point in one click.
Currently available for as a VST3 plugin for Windows (macOS support coming), Kick Alchemist is on sale for the intro price of $55 USD for a limited time (regular $69 USD).
A free demo version with full functionality is available to try the plugin (25 minutes per session).
