Fracture Sounds has introduced the 25th installment in the Blueprint series of free sample libraries for Kontakt. Capturing the gentle resonance of a plucked zither, Dream Zither is complimented by an evolving atmosphere layer and expressive Glissando Controller for fluid performances.
Blueprint: Dream Zither is a small, harp-like instrument recorded in close stereo and mapped across a playable range of four octaves. Alongside the natural instrument is an additional Atmosphere Layer, plus a set of creative controls for detailed sound shaping, including our innovation first introduced in Compendium: Eldenvale, the Glissando Controller.
The Glissando Controller allows for fluid, expressive glissandi that make the instrument even more playable and inspiring. Simply hold down the notes you wish to gliss, then use a MIDI slider or controller to adjust the speed and direction of the glide. This feature offers a taste of the folk-inspired instruments found in Compendium: Eldenvale, bringing that same organic expressiveness to Blueprint: Dream Zither.
