Audiolatry has released a lo-fi virtual instrument plugin built for producers who need warm, simple, and usable sounds.
Featuring 52 presets covering keys, leads, pads, and melodic sounds, Apus focuses on warm, dusty, and slightly off-kilter tones, making it suitable for lo-fi hip-hop, chill beats, ambient music, retro pop, and relaxed electronic productions.
Some presets feel strange and familiar at the same time, with detuned, fragile, and slightly warped details that give the plugin an imperfect lo-fi personality. It works well for mellow chord progressions, hazy melodies, subtle background layers, and simple lead lines that blend naturally into lo-fi productions.
