Colombian Latin Grammy–credited mix engineer Alejandro Ramírez (Ramalejo), who has credits on four Latin Grammy-winning projects, has introduced a reverb plugin built entirely from recordings of five different bathrooms: Porcelain, Cove, Greenhouse, Lavender, and Baldosa (a Colombian bathroom with hydraulic tile and an electric shower), ranging from small and bright to large and dark.
bathROOMs features controls for pre-delay, decay, position, surface, temp, wash, slap, and dry/wet, with a built-in ducker (threshold, ratio, attack, release, optional sidechain) that pulls the reverb back while the source plays so vocals stay intelligible without manual automation. It includes 27 artist presets contributed by five mix engineers and producers.
The plugin is a pay-what-you-want download for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU, AAX and standalone). Until September 13th, 2026, all proceeds from the plugin will be used to help rebuild homes destroyed during the August 10 earthquake in Colombia.
