Leit Audio has recently launches some additions to its range of focused audio plugins for faster, more creative music production, covering gating, clipping restoration, and stereo delay.
DeJunk is a content-aware gate that judges whether a signal actually looks like playing rather than gating on level alone, designed with recorded distorted guitar in mind but equally suited to clean electric, acoustic, bass, and other stringed instruments. It refuses loud scrapes and knocks between phrases that would normally force the gate threshold high enough to cut into quieter notes, and looks ahead before audio reaches the output so the gate can already be open by the time a phrase starts.
UnClip is a restoration plugin built to repair short peaks damaged by hard digital clipping. It looks for the shape of hard clipping itself rather than assuming it happens at 0dBFS. The plugin can recognize material that was clipped first and turned down or otherwise processed afterward, using the clean waveform around each damaged area as context and replacing only the samples actually identified as clipped.
Widelay is a stereo delay that builds width along the echo trail. As repeats are added, they spread progressively outward across the stereo field, with early repeats staying closer to the center and later ones reaching farther out.
All three plugins are available as free downloads in VST3 and AU formats for Windows, macOS and Linux.
