Hivetune has released a free 6-operator FM synthesizer built around a fully open modulation matrix rather than a fixed list of algorithms.
Delta6 lets operators be routed freely through the matrix, with modulation flow visualized on screen, so any FM structure can be built and experimented with rather than chosen from a preset algorithm list.
