Splice has announced a new drop for its Splice INSTRUMENT, offering dry acoustic drums for the free virtual instrument plugin that brings high-quality, multi-sampled sounds into any DAW.
This month’s drop includes Dead Drums, a preset that features dry and punchy acoustic drums recorded by Sean Hutchinson, a GRAMMY-winning studio drummer who has lent his chops to the likes of Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine, Doja Cat, and Bruce Springsteen (to name a few).
The preset features a classic pop sound with a tight and controlled edge—it’s clean, full of character, and ready to go straight into a mix. Try pushing the Dynamics slider to introduce a subtle lo-fi edge for some additional warmth.
Splice users can claim the free acoustic drums preset via the ‘Drop’ icon in the top-right corner of the INSTRUMENT plugin, alongside some other Free Drops available this month.
