Gary Doman has recently released version 2.1.0 of his parametric EQ plugin for music producers, engineers, and developers.
A professional-grade EQ8 / EQ Eight-inspired parametric equalizer, free and open-source 8-band parametric EQ plugin for macOS, Linux, and Windows. Linear phase, dynamic EQ, match EQ, per-band drive, band linking, M/S processing, oversampling, and a real-time spectrum analyzer — all in a single, zero-cost plugin.
FreeEQ8 comes in VST3 and AU plugin formats. Note that the latest version is currently only available for macOS, with Windows and Linux to follow soon.
Also available is ProEQ8, which features the same DSP engine with expanded features. Priced $20 USD, ProEQ8 comes with 24 bands, 4 saturation modes, A/B comparison, and more. The Pro version is included in the latest release download (running in demo mode without a license).
