Cloph-DSP has introduced a free stochastic stutter and freeze effect for Windows and macOS (beta). Designed to turn audio into organic textures, Freeze95 uses a 3-band glitch engine with randomized capture, reverse, and granular algorithms.
Freeze95 is a zero-latency stochastic stutter and freeze effect designed to transform static audio into evolving, organic textures. Housed in a retro-inspired CRT interface, the plugin dynamically splits your signal into three frequency bands, independently glitching each with randomized capture, reverse, slow-mo, and granular algorithms.
Freeze95 features
- Chaos (0–100): Scales stutter intensity from subtle shimmer to a full spectral meltdown (Tame → Shift → Fracture → Melt).
- Lo-Fi (0–100): Band-aware bit reduction, sample-rate decimation, and tilt EQ (Clean → Warm → Grain → Crush).
- Tempo: Host-sync directly to your DAW or free-run manually from 20 to 300 BPM.
- Power: True hard bypass for instant signal recovery.
The plugin is a “pay what you like” download (including free) in VST3 and CLAP formats.
