Atsushi Kimura of glasswerks inc. wrote in to share about two free modules of an upcoming mastering plugin suite which reproduces the master-bus chain of a working composer and arranger.
MUEDsp saturation (MUEDsat) is a transformer-saturation plugin, while MUEDsp limiter (MUEDlim) is a true-peak limiter. These plugins each represent an actual stage of that chain, pulled out and made free.
- MUEDsat — four knobs, nothing hidden: DRIVE does the real work (transformer-style harmonics), plus a clean high shelf (Air), parallel Mix, and Output trim, with a true-dry Bypass. Zero latency, no oversampling artifacts (ADAA).
- MUEDlim — two knobs: INPUT for loudness in, CEILING for the true-peak ceiling it won’t cross (inter-sample detection), plus a true-dry Bypass.
The plugins are available to download in VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows and macOS.
