RIPPLES has released a free plugin which combines sidechain-style ducking, rhythmic gating, and LFO volume shaping into a single drawable curve.
Designed to deliver movement, Pulse is built around a volume curve users can see and edit directly: pick one of five shapes, flip it upside down if needed, then drag the nodes until the dip lands exactly on the beat.
Pulse features
- 5 curve shapes (Pump, Soft, Tri, Saw, Gate), each reversible with flip.
- Depth, curve, and smooth controls for shaping the dip’s intensity, return, and edges.
- Sync mode with 9 host-locked rates from 1/16 to dotted divisions up to 4 bars.
- Trig mode, firing the curve from the track’s own transients with adjustable sensitivity.
- 16 named presets, including Classic Pump, Deep House Duck, and Trance Gate.
Pulse is available for Windows and macOS in VST3 and AU plugin formats.
