Samuel Ferraz-Leite has announced the release of a free, open-source audio plugin for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU and CLAP). RVRSE lets users load any one shot sample to automatically generate a reverse-reverb riser.
Load a drum hit, a cymbal crash, a piano note / whatever you want to build into. RVRSE automatically generates a reversed, reverbed, time-stretched sweep that leads perfectly into your original hit, locked to your project tempo.
But RVRSE doesn’t stop at risers. A built-in stutter effect turns your samples into something surprisingly playable and musical – experiment with rhythmic textures, glitchy builds, or completely new sounds from familiar source material.
RVRSE is a proof of concept warmup project for the OpenSampler initiative. It is available to download as a “pay what you like” download from Samuel Ferraz-Leite’s store. The source code is available at GitHub.
