Beat has announced the release of a free sample pack featuring a collection of sounds recorded in some of Berlin’s spaces and places.
Here’s what they have to say about the Sound of Berlin pack:
12 hours, 22 kilometers, and a Zoom H5 in hand. Our goal? To capture the heartbeat of Berlin without embellishment. From the hustle and bustle of Alexanderplatz to the meditative splashing of the Landwehr Canal – we sampled the city for you, beyond the tourist postcards.
Why are we doing this? Because we firmly believe that while the eye sets the direction, it’s the right sound that gives a story its true soul. A video without atmosphere is like Berlin without a kiosk on the corner – it’s missing the essentials.
The journey began at dawn, when the city was still taking a deep breath. We scanned the acoustic DNA of the capital for you. Berlin is not a place of silence; it is an orchestra of concrete, asphalt, and human interaction.
Why field recording? Authenticity instead of studio kitsch!
We went deep into the “Big B” and acoustically dissected the metropolis. The result?
No artificial reverb.
No smooth studio effects.
Just pure, raw sound.
We captured the crunch of gravel, the distant babble of voices in Kreuzberg’s backyards, and the rhythmic clatter of trams for you. It’s precisely these textures that elevate a production from “good” to “immersive.”
Your sound package: Berlin for your projects
Whether you’re working on your next YouTube video, producing a podcast, or looking for organic samples for your next track as a producer, we’re giving you our recordings as a free download. Immerse yourself in the soundscape of a city that never really sleeps. Bring the vibe of the capital directly into your DAW and give your projects that certain something of urbanity.
The 4 GB RAR file is available to download for free.
