M Media Audio has introduced a true-peak mastering limiter built around a full BS.1770 LUFS metering suite and a one-click loudness targeting workflow.
Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux (VST3 and AU), Volume Dealer measures your integrated LUFS as you listen, and when you click “Set Level” it applies the exact corrective gain in one step.
The limiter runs a lookahead brickwall design with an adjustable knee via Edge Rounding, from a hard 0% ceiling to a 6 dB pre-transition softened curve for dense program material. A High Quality mode runs the limiter at 2x the session sample rate through an IIR half-band polyphase filter, catching inter-sample peaks that exceed 0 dBFS on playback reconstruction – the difference between a true-peak ceiling and a limiter that only checks the samples it can see.
