At the 2026 NAMM Show, Freqport has announced a true analog circuit emulation plugin designed to change how hybrid workflows actually work.
Combining real tube tone with the flexibility, speed, and recall of modern digital production, FT1-EMU captures true tube saturation, rich harmonics, and natural dynamic behavior — beyond conventional digital emulation methods. The plugin reproduces how the circuit actually responds using real time SPICE simulation of the circuit, all inside your DAW and without requiring any external hardware.
While analog processors are prized for their sound, they often require complex hardware setups that interrupt creative flow. FT1-EMU removes this barrier by delivering circuit-accurate analog modeling directly inside your DAW — with no hardware required.
Built using component-level SPICE circuit modeling based on the original FreqTube FT1 hardware, FT1-EMU captures true tube saturation, rich harmonics, and natural dynamic behaviour — far beyond conventional digital emulation methods. Use FT1-EMU anywhere in your session like a standard plugin. Run it across multiple tracks and channels, automate every parameter, and recall settings instantly — all with the precision of digital workflow.
FreqTube FT1-EMU features
- Component-level modelling: Component-level SPICE modelling delivers authentic tube saturation and natural dynamic behavior.
- Real hardware integration: Optional one-click switching between software emulation and real FreqTube FT1 hardware.
- Quad tube engine: Dual-tube architecture with 2× E83CC (bold saturation) and 2× 12AT7 (smooth harmonic warmth)
- Analog-style filters: Primary and parallel multi-mode filters inspired by real analog hardware topology.
- Deep tone control: Precise control over drive, harmonics, filtering, and signal flow for detailed tone shaping.
FT1-EMU for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU, and AAX) will launch in February 2026. You can get a 30% discount by signing up during January. For a limited time, Freqport is including FreqTube FT1-EMU at no extra cost for FT1 hardware owners with the next software update.
