FX-Mechanics has announced version 0.1 of Black Widow Drums, a free virtual instrument for Linux and Windows.

The Black Widow Drums project is the first published drum sampler showcase for FxmeSampler’s advanced spatial and processing features. Recorded on a Gretsch Black Widow kit, it utilizes an original microphone array and signal processing chain to deliver a studio-ready drum sound.

Available as a VST3 plugin, the sampler features a microphone configuration, advanced Ambisonic-mono routing, intelligent room modeling, and a flexible processing and mix architecture.
