Boomer Hotel has just released an equalizer plugin that builds its filter curve from a song’s key rather than a chosen frequency range. Tell KEYCOMB the track’s key, and it drops up to 64 self-tuning filters onto every note that key uses, all under one fader.
Pushing up emphasizes the harmonics that belong to the track, turning loops and pads melodic; pulling down (or engaging INVERSE) sinks everything out of key, clearing mud and clashing resonances without hunting for frequencies.
Beyond EQ duty it doubles as an instrument: soloing the comb with HARMONICS on turns any sound into a playable organ, MIDI input retunes all 64 filters to held chords in real time, and Q up to 200 with a DECAY control makes it a tuned resonator.
Available in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and macOS, KEYCOMB is on sale for the intro price of $29 USD (regular $49 USD). Rekkerd readers can get an additional 50% off on a purchase by using coupon code REKKERD at checkout until October 31st, 2026.
Even better, we’re giving away a couple of licenses of KEYCOMB. Simply leave a comment below before the end of this Friday September 11th, 2026 (11.59pm CET), and we will pick the winners at random from all entries.
Good luck, and check out Boomer Hotel where you can download a 14-day trial version to try the plugin.
