MM Soundworks has just released a new 16-pad sampling instrument for Windows and macOS. Every pad in Drumsampler is a complete voice, and each one can be put through the playback engine of one of three vintage samplers: the E-mu SP-1200, the Akai S950 or the Ensoniq Mirage.
These are not EQ curves or bitcrusher presets. Each machine is reproduced with its own sample rate, bit depth and interpolation behaviour. Retune a sample and it doesn’t just get higher or lower, it gets rougher and fatter.
Drumsampler features
- 16 independent pads with drag and drop, plus random loading from a folder.
- 3 vintage sampler engines per pad: SP-1200, S950, Mirage – or clean playback.
- Timestretch with several modes.
- Humanize and randomization controls for pitch, level, timing and stereo position.
- 2 envelopes per pad – one for amplitude, one sweeping the filter, with keyboard tracking and a velocity-to-brightness switch.
- Per-pad filters, drive, loop and reverse.
- Up to 16 stereo outputs straight into your DAW.
Available in VST3, AU and CLAP plugin formats, Drumsampler is on sale for the intro price of €49 EUR until October 31st, 2026 (regular €69 EUR). A free demo is available to download to try the plugin.
