All The Machines has announced the release of a brand new real-time audio disintegration effect for iOS (AUv3 + Standalone) and desktop (VST3/AU/CLAP).
False Memory features an Analog/Digital slider which blends between tape wobble, reel-to-reel saturation, and VHS tracking errors on one end, and lo-fi aliasing, circuit-bent glitches, and data-mosh artifacts on the other.
Fog smears the frequency spectrum, while Ghosts lets past audio bleed through the signal. Evolve auto-deepens the destruction over 1 to 64 minutes without touching any controls. Other options includes tape hiss and vinyl crackle, and a randomize button is available for instant inspiration.
Feed it any sound and watch it decay. A tape left in the sun. A corrupted file half-recovered from a dead drive. A memory dissolving as you try to hold onto it.
Turn up MEMORY and the destruction begins. Everything else shapes how the sound falls apart.
The iOS app is currently $3.99 USD at the App Store, and the desktop plugin version has a launch price of €19 EUR for a limited time (regular €29 EUR).
