Teletone Audio has released the Golden Age Grand, a sample library for Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player that brings the sounds of a Yamaha grand piano.
The piano was recorded through vintage microphones and pre-amps, and a custom vintage console to bring the sound of the golden age directly to your fingertips.
Golden Age Grand evokes the memory of the solo piano renaissance of the 1950’s and 60’s. Warm, rich, and impressionistic, the sound can be contextualized in both modernity and classicism.
Besides the high-fidelity samples, the library also includes a taped and slowed down variation, and a third set where the samples have been digitally time-streteched and pitch shifted down a minor third. Golden Age Grand features 3 microphones positions (close, ribbon, room), and additional designed presets are included.
