Following the release of the first authentic software emulation of the Ursa Major Stargate 323, Greybox Audio announces a free update for all users.
Version 1.1 introduces 8 new reverb & effect programs, which were originally released for the Ursa Major Stargate 626. This makes SG-323 the first complete emulation of both the Ursa Major Stargate 323 and 626.
The plug-in is based on more than five years of research & development and closely emulates the digital circuits of the original hardware unit. While staying faithfully close to the original it also improves on the hardware by enabling fully variable pre-delay and decay time settings.
The Ursa Major Stargate 323 Reverb was released in 1984 by Christopher Moore and builds on the success of the legendary Space Station SST-282 delay. While originally being aimed at more budget-minded studios the Stargate 323 reverb has become a rare piece of vintage hardware and can be found in the studios of electronic artists like Mark Pritchard and Richie Hawtin. The Stargate 626 was an updated version of the Stargate 323 and included eight additional reverb & effect programs.
SG-323 features
- 16 reverb & effect programs ranging from tight plates to thunderous halls.
- Fully adjustable pre-delay & decay time.
- Resizable UI.
- DRM free & Open Source.
SG-323 is available in VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP plugin formats for Windows, macOS & Linux. The update is free for all users, while new customers can purchase the plugin for €34 EUR. A demo version with locked controls can be downloaded from the store for free, and the source code remains available on GitHub.
