Hahmo DSP has introduced a new virtual-analog supersaw instrument inspired by the JP-8000 synth from Roland. Designed to bring the next generation of supersaw, SuperClassic is built with a modern DSP approach and a unique drift system.
SuperClassic has 4 supersaw parts (7-oscillators per part) combined with a SuperDrift modulation system, a proprietary drift engine that gives each oscillator its own independent LFO, spaced using golden-ratio frequency offsets, which creates a constantly evolving, non-cyclic movement. This avoids the “static supersaw” problem and produces a more organic, analog-style stereo spread—great for Jupiter-style analog sounding pads and Trance oriented supersaw leads.
SuperClassic brings back the familiar tone that defined the golden era of dance music, now with more control, more depth, and a level of quality that wasn’t possible back then. Compact yet powerful, SuperClassic focuses on one thing and does it better than ever.
SuperClassic features a JP-style multimode filter (LP/BP/HP in 12/24dB with 2×/4× oversampling), ToneShaper bipolar keytracked highpass filter for classic JP character, snappy JP-inspired envelopes, 32 voices polyphony and heavy SIMD optimization, making for a very CPU efficient instrument.
SuperClassic for Windows and Mac (VST3/AU) is on sale at an introductory 30% discount, priced €55 EUR for a limited time.
