Hahmo DSP has announced an update to its software synthesizer which captures the legendary supersaw character with modern fidelity.
Version 1.2 of SuperClassic adds a rebuilt filter, four-slot effects rack, dedicated sub and noise oscillators, a three-band EQ, MIDI Learn, a refreshed look and improvements to CPU usage.
Built from scratch with studio-grade DSP, SuperClassic delivers the familiar tone you know with the clarity and precision modern production demands. This is the sound that shaped dance music, enhanced.
Changes in SuperClassic v1.2
- Four effect slots with 6 insert effects: You can fill the rack in any order: Delay, Reverb, Chorus, Phaser, Drive and EQ.
- New Oscillators: All new Noise and Sub oscillators help you create even more massive supersaw-leads not to mention the bass sounds you can pull with this thing now.
- MIDI Learn: Right-click almost any control and assign it to a CC. Mappings save with your project automatically, and you can store a default map that can be loaded from disk when starting up a new project.
- Rebuilt filter: New filter core that smoothens any unwanted pops and clicks while running on tight envelopes. A live visualizer shows the curve and the cutoff moving in real time, and turning resonance below zero allows softer, less aggressive sounds.
- 28 new presets: Built around the new effects and oscillators, and the quickest way to hear what 1.2 actually does.
- A reworked interface, noticeably lighter CPU load, and a long list of stability fixes.
The update is free for existing users. New customers can purchase SuperClassic for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU) for €79 EUR.
