This year, HOFA-College, the international online school for sound engineering and music production, is hosting its popular XMAS MIX CONTEST for the 17th time in a row. The online competition is aimed at producers and remixers from all musical genres who enjoy mixing a Christmas song and want to prove their skills.
The multitracks of the contest song “Blue Silent Night” are now available for download and ready to be mixed or remixed in a DAW. A jury of professional audio engineers and the community’s votes will then decide on the awarding of prizes.

Crossover, alternative and pop-rock influences characterise this year’s contest song, “Blue Silent Night” – with an outstanding female lead vocalist, heavy drums, atmospheric keys, massive guitars and a thick bass. Participants can now download the tracks, create their mix or remix, and submit it on the contest platform.
Prizes worth over €27,000
This year, the main prize is €1,500 twice – once for the best mix and once for the best remix of the contest song. The main prizes are sponsored by HOFA and awarded by the jury. In addition, there are many high-quality hardware and software prizes to win. For those who collect a lot of votes in the online voting, there is also the chance to win studio headphones from Sennheiser.
