iFeature has introduced a new audio plugin that is designed to bring analog life to your modulation.
Inspired by analog hardware, RM40 combines classic amplitude modulation with subtle noise shaping to add warmth, depth, and character to any signal, from smooth rhythmic motion to gritty analog texture.
The idea for RM40 started with Barking Continues and Avaion, two friends who came to me with a dope concept. We’d all been experimenting with sound design for years, especially in the dubstep scene, where layering subs and noise, adding istortion, and using ring modulation with side-chain inputs is a classic but complex technique.
They asked if I could turn that whole workflow into something simple, powerful, and musical. It captures that analog-style movement and texture, but makes it super easy. Just drag it on your sound, tweak three knobs, and you’re instantly in that unique space between warmth and Grid. What used to take multiple layers and routing can now be done in seconds.
RM40 for Windows and Mac (VST3 and AU) is available to purchase for €10 EUR.
