Imaginando has announced an update to its VS Visual Synthesizer software, extended its cross-platform support with the release of an Android version.
It has been one of the most requested things on our list for a long time, and VS 2.3.0 is where it lands — a standalone app for Android, released alongside a refresh for Windows, macOS and iOS.
Android brings its own set of challenges when it comes to audio and video performance, and this launch is another step in our commitment to tackling them head-on.
The same VS, minus the plug-in. VS for Android arrives as a standalone app, with all the same features as VS for iOS, except the DAW plug-in, which isn’t possible on Android. Performance still has room to grow, and we’ve got plenty left to learn, but we’re committed to getting there.
The Android (15 and above) version of VS is available to download from Google Play, and free to try. Owners of expansion packs can login to their Imaginando account to use them on Android. VS 2 for Windows, macOS and iOS have also received stability improvements and bug fixes.
