Impact Soundworks has introduced a cutting edge plugin emulating a ‘holy grail’ of boutique and hard-to-find guitar amps, the Framus Cobra.
Popularized by ’00s metal bands like Killswitch Engage, the Framus Cobra is known for its powerful crunch and lead channels, massive low end, and ability to cut through even the densest of mixes. While the original Cobra is expensive, hard-to-find, and notoriously difficult to maintain and repair, Shreddage Amp Venom gives guitarists all of the authentic tone, range, and dimension with none of the headaches.
Besides the core amp and poweramp model, users can dial in sounds ranging from clean and edge-of-breakup to ultra-heavy using the built-in pre and post-amp pedalboards sporting 8 classic pedal designs like the Tube Screamer, Klon Centaur, and LA-2A-style compressor.
Shreddage Amp Venom is paired with a hand-picked Friedman 4×12 cabinet including Celestion GB25 Greenback and Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, with eight hand-picked mic choices (dynamic, condenser, and ribbon types) and four mic positions. Users can also load in their own impact responses (IRs) into the dual-cab loader.
